My Interview with a College Student Regarding Abortion.

Below you will find a link to an article that I was interviewed for. It’s by Elon University student, Alexandra Schonfeld. I’m always happy to give my personal testimony on my abortion experience, in hopes it will prevent even one woman from undergoing this horrific experience and committing this aweful sin.

Here are my full answers to the questions I was asked by Ms. Schonfeld and below that is her article, entitled ” Seeking and Abortion in the Bible Belt.”

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS w/ my responses-

1. Over the past year, how have you seen access to abortion in North Carolina, and nationwide change, if at all?

“In the past few years we’ve seen a trend of states enacting regulatory laws, individually. Currently I believe access to abortion nationwide is much unchanged. And in North Carolina, access is definitely there.”

2. For some people who are pro-choice, they believe that North Carolina upholds pretty restrictive legislation surrounding abortion including the 72 hour waiting period after counseling, and law that requires doctors to send ultrasounds of a fetus past 16 weeks to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services — what do you think of all this? What do you think of these guidelines put in place by the state surrounding abortion?

“As a woman who’s been through the harrowing experience of an abortion, I’m personally thankful to NC legislators for enacting the 72 hour wait. I believe it, at the very least, gives the woman a chance to take a deep breath and consider or reconsider her options in regard to her pregnancy. Perhaps she’ll be blessed to find a crisis pregnancy center, where she can obtain an ultrasound of her preborn baby…You know that old saying ” Act in haste, repent at leisure?” Well hopefully during this period she’ll decide for life- the life of her preborn baby and have little to later repent of. I hate to see a woman do as I did -pressure herself out of panic , fear, and outside pressure, and cave into a seemingly” quick fix” . Abortion is anything but a fix. It has such lasting repercussions.

Regarding the provision of ultrasounds to DHHS, it’s an important safeguard against providers breaking the law by performing latter- term abortions than the law allows. It’s accountability for the medical community involved in this contentious practice. In many people’s eyes, they’d have to question the ethics of a doctor even consenting to perform abortions in the first place- going against the Hippocratic Oath to -” first do no harm…” If they’re willing to take innocent life they may be willing to fudge the numbers, i.e. weeks of pregnancy, just to make another buck, perhaps? I refer you to Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, as case in point.”

3. Do you have an opinion on the Supreme Court judge nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his perceived opinion on abortion and roe v. wade?

“I really don’t have much comment on Kavanaugh. He himself is a bit closed- mouthed on Roe v. Wade calling it “settled law”, but I think we all know he’s a conservative with all that implies. We’ll see, I guess.”

4. What do you think about resources such as the North Carolina Abortion fund that help people who may not able to afford an abortion, fund abortions?

The Carolina Abortion Fund states the following on their Twitter- “We believe that income should not limit individuals’ ability to make reproductive decisions. ‘_ Carolina abortion fund.

“I actually believe the same. Just because a woman finds herself pregnant and yet has little means, doesn’t equate to her solving what she perceives as an insurmountable economic hardship, by terminating the life of her child. Sure this group wants to help her scrape together enough money to have her baby scraped out of her womb. But,let’s instead look around at all of the agencies and resources that exist to help this same woman keep her baby. This group promotes the idea of expanding Medicaid to pay for abortions. I point to, instead, Medicaid for pregnant women and children, which can help a woman pay pregnancy costs and help afterward with her child, if need be. And better yet, faith based organizations or the church, if you will, should and does show their love by supporting pregnant women via pregnancy centers which provide her with many baby items, counseling, education, and moral support.

My desire is to see a culture of life come into fruition. Our country’s current death culture is a dead-end no pun intended. We see the evil trickle- down from abortion in that life is cheaper and less meaningful all around. We as caring, justice-loving, peace makers must stop telling women that killing their babies will somehow lead them to a better life. That is a lie. Currently the U.S. is falling below population replacement numbers. God had intended these souls to be born to balance out…what abortion has created- the societal imbalance of an aging population with not enough young and strong base to carry on. So if economics is your thing, you should be pro- life! But , truly believe the law of our mutual Creator is written upon all of our hearts, let’s stop going against that law. Thanks.’

Ask Forgiveness for a Medical Procedure? Yes!!!

Do I need to be forgiven for having a gall stone removed? No, that’s not what I mean….

In the past 44 years since abortion became legal nationally due to the Roe V. Wade decision, over 50 Million unborn babies have had their lives snuffed out.
As much as we who are ProLife think about those precious innocent babies. Do we stop to really think about those women who lost those babies due to abortion?
In abortion there are two victims. One is left living (usually) and the other is left dead. But the mother, who must go on living with the knowledge that she chose to terminate the life of her own child is often tortured. And many don’t realize they have committed a sin,due to many factors, including teaching about “evolution”. Our culture has called abortion a “Medical Procedure”. The truth is that abortion is a Killing. The killing is not just of the unborn child within the womb. Other deaths take place. Often the death of the spirit of that woman takes place. She is so wounded by the abortion experience that her life is altered forever.
Women need healing and hope after an abortion. But due to the pain, shame, and guilt, most women may keep their abortion(s) a secret. They hold in the pain. The pain does come out in many ways, however. These women often lose their relationship with the father of the baby that was aborted. They then may go on to have serial relationships which are unhealthy or even abusive, since often low self-esteem results from an abortion. Other women may turn to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. And others yet may harden their hearts and conscience and try going on like nothing happened.

The women have been lied to and duped by this culture of death. They are suffering and many don’t know where to turn for relief.
As a woman who has gone the through the torture of abortion personally, I can tell you there is only one place or really one person to turn to that is JESUS. He is the only one capable of taking away from you the sin of abortion. You see, when a woman makes the choice to kill, she has the blood of her unborn baby on her hands. That is innocent blood. So you see that is why you feel so badly. It’s why you need to drink, or do drugs, or have relationships, or sex to try to brush away that guilty stain on your heart and mind.

You cannot remove the pain, the stain; you cannot do it. Jesus can! He died a horrible death on a Roman Cross to take upon Himself the responsibility for what you have done. Can you believe it? Many cannot. It sounds too simple, right? Or maybe it sounds too good to be true? Or maybe it sounds like a Religion? Rationalizations can be innumerable. But Jesus is none of those things. He is a person. He is the Savior (of you,) if you will only call out with a mustard seed (tiny bit) of belief in Him, then He will show himself to you, personally. You can ask him for forgiveness. You need to ask. It is called Repentence. We cannot and will not be forgive unless we ask for it. That is the Free Will that God put in each of us. He forgave me. He will do it for you-when you choose to ASK Him.
The only way Jesus will not come and cleanse and forgive you is if you are unwilling. Some are too proud. Some are too smart or educated. Some believe there are many paths to God or heaven. Some think they are “good” people. Some just deny the pain away and believe they did nothing wrong, it was a blob of tissue and just a medical procedure. You know in your heart of hearts it was so much more.

I am so grateful that Jesus loved me so much that he drew me to himself with his great Love. He does that. He draws people through his Goodness and Mercy.
In our culture if someone commits a homicide. Lets say goes up to someone and shoots another person with a gun. That person is guilty of murder, and is punished. Yet our culture legalized, condones and even promotes murdering the most helpless people of all. And the only punishment for the doctors and women is perhaps a guilty conscience, if that.

I hope you will think about what I have said. Let it really sink in to your heart and mind. Maybe you are a person of another religion. Maybe you don’t believe in God’s existence. Or maybe you believe in many paths of righteousness that can lead to “God” as you see Him or Her or It.
Whatever the case may be in your personal life. All you need to do is sit on your bed and sincerely (verbally or silently) say “Jesus, if you are real, as others believe. Then please show yourself to me. ” He will begin in perhaps subtle ways to draw you. You will see His faithfulness. Open your heart and you will see.
It may sound silly, but again, it’s the mustard seed of faith. And He hears you when you call. He loves you. He created you. He knew you before your were born and even before this earth was created.

He wants to make your life whole again. He wants you to know His Great Love and Forgiveness. We all need forgiveness because none of us has lived a perfect life. And we cannot be good enough to earn it. It is through His sacrifice that we can make it here in this life and most importantly to Eternity with Him in Heaven. And you definitely want to end up in Heaven because that is where your baby is, with Jesus. The innocent are gathered around the Father’s throne in heaven. If you choose Christ you will be reunited with your aborted (unborn) child.

May His Holy Spirit touch you now, that you Believe this: The Good News.
In Jesus Name.

PS- Click the tab “TESTIMONY” on my Home page to read my personal Testimony.

I am a pro-life advocate. It is a deeply rooted part of who I am. I have a testimony about abortion. I know God is on my side in regard to speaking out against the injustice and atrocity of abortion.

The past week or so has been a bit disheartening on the front for Life. As you may know the Susan G. Komen Foundation made a decision to de-fund Planned Parenthood, and a couple of days later reneged and caved to the liberal bias and decide to return funding to Planned Parenthood.

During this tussle between Komen and Planned Parenthood, the media gave much coverage. But the main and most influential coverage came from social media i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc. etc….  I, along with many others posted statuses on FB saying things like “Way to go Komen” and more recently “Boo Komen…”  But one thing I noticed is that FB users in particular tend not to directly state a blunt opinion on matters such as abortion. I think they are trying to be politically correct and do not want to “offend” anyone. Many FB users use little illustrations or photos to indirectly get their point across. It is not so indirect however.

I got into a direct conversation with one of my FB “friends” about the topic of abortion after seeing the following photo on her status.

Upon seeing the above image I replied: “Sarcasm, the lowest form of humor. Maybe some babies will be saved from less monies going to murder them! I thought you were pro life. Abortions hurt babies and women and are linked to more breast cancer, so if one is against breast cancer then one should applaud Komen’s decision to de-fund PP, which I do.”

To my statement my FB friend replied : ” I  am truly sorry if I’ve offended you. Truly. I am thankful though, that we live in a country in which we can openly disagree on such matters. But again, truly sorry if I offended you. Then after this she went on to post a quote in her status from a lesser know sociologist in regard to, and I am paraphrasing ” Stupid people tend to be politically conservative…” To which I responded  that I was surprised at her quoting a 19th century British philosopher who espoused Population Control…” To which She replied “I just thought the quote was interesting.’ As if to say that it meant nothing to her personally. Okay I guess my profile pic makes me look stupid, oh and conservative, of course….

Next in the course of our FB discourse she (my FB friend) quoted Ani DiFranco- (well known feminist icon)

“Buildings and bridges
are made to bend in the wind
to withstand the world,
that’s what it takes
All that steel and stone
is no match for the air, my friend
what doesn’t bend breaks
what doesn’t bend breaks

I assumed correctly that this was a veiled explanation of why she apparently is now Pro Choice.  And in the midst of quoting Ani DiFranco and apologizing for possibly offending me, her FB friends were making comments about how they liked her status and basically making effort to come to her defense. The funny thing is that these others did not even know what we were really talking about which was ABORTION.

So with another “apology” from her “if she offended me”….etc. and with an admission that she herself had indeed had an abortion because “I just could not see myself raising a child with this person…”

I responded with the following: “Hi Friend, I was not offended by you. I honestly just believe that God is the offended one when we (me and you) snuff out innocent life that he has sent to us. I did it too and the experience opened my eyes to the reality of what abortion is-murder. I have, by the Grace of God, repented and been set free from the blood- guiltiness. But I suffered for years, really over a decade. First from not being able to forgive myself, even though I knew God had forgiven me. And I suffered severe physical pains, with menstrual irregularities, etc etc for about a decade. I also suffered mentally and emotionally. I thought I was infertile since we tried to get pregnant for over 10 years and could not. So really, the reason I am so passionate about abortion is because of what it did to me. But God, being so good, has worked it all for his Glory and my good. The abortion actually brought me to my knees, to a place where I cried out to Jesus, if he was real, then I needed him to save me from my horrible sin or I would have likely ended my own life. And he saved me! That is why I am so fervent . It is my personal, real- life testimony of what Jesus did for me. He loves the unborn and I know it breaks his heart to see their innocent lives extinguished. And sadly the blood is on the hands of the United States government for allowing legalized murder of the unborn. I hope you have been able to repent and receive forgiveness from God for your choice. There is Mercy with the Lord. I only wish that years ago when you and I attended CC Church that OUR PASTOR had allowed me to go up and give this testimony. He set a date for me to do so and reneged last-minute. Maybe if you had heard me speak then, about this topic your choice would have been different? But I believe in Romans 8:28. I just don’t want any other woman to have to go what I went through and I will go to any length God allows to help that not to happen. May the Love of Jesus be with you always. You will know your child in heaven, God showed me that.

Later her status read: “A break from Facebook for a while…a good thing to do every now and again.’

Next I see a status message from afore-mentioned former Pastor which reads: “I am deleting my Facebook page. I have started a new one. With all the changes in my life it seemed like a needed fresh start. If you want to be friends with the “new me” please like this status, search for me by name, and friend me at the other page. This page will be deleted VERY soon.”   INTERESTING>>>>>????

Ah, so time tells a lot. And I have come to realize Facebook tells us some things too. I see now that we must decipher the social media’s little back door methodologies for sending messages i.e. “communicating”. This is difficult for me since I am BOLD and do not mince words about issues concerning the lives of the precious unborn. Yet, I continue to try to use tools which  God has given us in this post modern technological era.

The convoluted nature of the social media interfaces is a maze to navigate in order to communicate. You see my status. You like. I see your status. I post a You Tube. You see my You Tube, you post an e-card…and on and on it goes. Brave New World or Doublespeak?

To end my part of our FB discourse I posted the following image to summarize my feelings on the topic of origin:

Here is God’s Status:  DEUTERONOMY 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

12 Week Old Preborn Baby
Week 1:  Conception, the baby is smaller than a grain of sugar, but the instructions are present for all that the person will ever become.
Week 2:  The baby attaches and burrows securely in to the wall of its mother’s womb.
Week 3:  The babies blood vessels and sex cells form.  Foundations of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system are laid.
Week 4:  The baby’s heart has begun to beat. Eyes, ears, and lungs begin to form.
Week 5:  Tiny arms and legs appear, as well as the baby’s face.  The baby’s blood is now separated from the mother’s.
Week 6: Tiny fingers and toes develop. The baby’s brain is divided into three parts for emotion and language, hearing and seeing.
Week 7:  Buds of the baby’s milk teeth appear.  Ninety-nine percent of the muscles are present, and brain activity is detectable.
Week 8:  The baby begins spontaneous movement and is now well proportioned, about the size of a thumb.  Every organ is present, but immature.  The skull, elbows and knees are forming.
Week 9:  If prodded, hands and eyelids close. Genitalia become visible, indicating whether the baby is a boy or a girl.  Muscle movement begins.
Week 10:  The baby’s fingerprints begin to form. Nerve and muscle connections have tripled.  Eyelids fuse together temporarily to protect the baby’s delicate developing eyes.
Week 11:  The baby “practices” breathing and facial expressions, even smiling.  The baby can also urinate and stomach muscles can also contract.
Week 12:  The baby is now 3 inches in length and weighs 2 oz.  with fine hair on the face.  The baby is able to swallow and responds to skin stimulation.

Some Good News in the Fight for Life NC

I was so overjoyed to read today that a major abortuary in Raleigh, NC is “In Transition”.

Faithful Christians have prayed and prayed over this location and God has answered the prayers of the faithful.

The Raleigh News and Observer reported Wednesday that National Women’s Health Organization of Raleigh is, in the words of one local pro-abortion affiliate, “in transition.” The affiliate, Ann Rose, said that the last abortions would be conducted on Saturday, but she would not explain what other changes the “transition” would entail.

The paper reports that the abortuary was generally thought to be for sale after its founder, pro-abortion activist Susan Hill, passed away of breast cancer in February. There are two other facilities in Raleigh where abortions are performed.

David Bereit, the national director of 40 Days for Life, praised the end of the destruction of unborn life at a building where prayer witnesses with the nationwide campaign have kept vigil. North Carolina was one of the first states ever to conduct a 40 Days for Life campaign.

“Even as we praise God for this victory, pray that this center, which has done so much harm, completely closes and that the workers experience conversions!” said Bereit.

Bereit also lauded statistics cited by the News and Observer story, which show that abortions have been declining in North Carolina; the abortion rate dropped 4.6% between 2007 and 2008.

“Your prayers and faithful efforts continue to bear great fruit!” Bereit told supporters.

To those of us in the Fight for the Innocent Preborn this give great encouragement to continue in our efforts. It especially shows that our God answers Prayer!

Carolina News 14 Raleigh NC Pro-Life Rally

Roe V. Wade Anniversary-Speech 2010

Good Evening and Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am blessed to be speaking before you once again tonight as we commemorate those precious lives lost to abortion and pray for and end to this evil practice.

After many years, thirteen to be exact, of wanting to have a baby God has blessed me miraculously. The Bible speaks of the “manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10) My 8- month old twins arrived in April by the abundant grace of God.

The path of events over time that led to me giving birth to my son and daughter is so amazing that only God could have orchestrated it, and I can inly attempt to tell you about what God has done.  The maxim “truth is stranger than fiction” definitely applies to my life and specifically to my fertility, or the lack there of, and finally to the birth of my twins being conceived and received with no artificial medical means.

It was 1996 when I had my unplanned pregnancy and after much agonizing, and fears within and pressure from without, I decided on abortion.  Ever since that horrible day when I chose to legally kill — and it was my choice, made possible by pro-choice, pro-infanticide laws — my unborn baby, I desperately wanted to have a baby.  Afterwards there was a hole in my heart and in my life. After what I had done I was damaged — physically, emotionally, spiritually- and it seemed that this damage would be  permanent. It also seemed to me due to many “female problems” that I would I probably never be able to get pregnant again.

But as the Bible tells us, in Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” and the as a result of the complete brokeness brought about by the abortion, I honestly prayed and received Jesus Christ as my Savior and LORD, to forgive me and lead me. God will and has worked out for good what the enemy meant for evil, if we love and obey Him (Romans 8:28). The decision for Christ made me a child of God, and was the first step of an incredible journey which has most recently brought a baby boy and a baby girl into my life.

The thirteen year period, between the time that I had the abortion at age 24, up till the time I gave birth to my twins at age 37, was a path I traveled with Jesus.  Though my husband and I — amidst many difficulties — tried to get pregnant, it was to no avail, until I finally gave up and prayed to God. I told the Author of life that although he knew my heart’s desire, yet I would accept the possibility that he did not have children in my future. And not long after is when I found I was pregnant. And when the ultrasound showed that we were having twins we were in amazement! There is victory in surrender to Jesus no matter what.

Of course we were thrilled when we found out the news. My husband and I began to think about where we would go for the prenatal care, as taking into consideration my previous trauma we wanted to find someone who was going to be caring and sensitive to me. We also needed a doctor who specialized with multiple births.

We started out with Womens’ Hospital High Risk Group. As you may or may not know, when a woman goes to an obstetrical practice she is shuffled around to see all the doctors in their group since they don’t know who will be on duty at the time of the birth. Each doctor needs to be familiar with the woman’s case. To make a long story shorter,  we wound up interviewing many doctors and going to several practices. I was already in the seventh and eighth month of my pregnancy and we still were not at peace with the doctors we had seen. We did not have any idea who would be delivering our babies. Of course we were praying and putting our ultimate trust in God for the outcome. We took Lamaze classes and I was very firm about not wanting to have them by c-section or by induction. The medical profession considers twins to be high-risk, and doctors really want to control the situation in that case. Very often doctors will schedule a day to induce labor chemically and/ or schedule a day to do a c-section. I knew that  the Lord wanted me to trust Him, and for me, to do it the most natural way, as these were His babies.

We did what all couples do these days and wrote out a birth plan. All of the doctors we saw told us that basically the birth plan is “out the window” in the case of multiples. So we knew it was up to God, who says,  “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. {6} In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”  (Prov 3:5,6)

I was at 35 weeks when my water started leaking. That was the day I went into labor — five weeks early. At the time labor started we were at another  Practice. We had seen several of their partners. The most recent one was already somewhat familiar to me-unbeknownst to me. As my husband and I were interviewing him and telling him about my birth plan and previous abortion trauma. I saw a glint of recognition in this man’s eyes as I told him of the abortion horror that I had experienced. He said that it normally does not go that way and that he was sorry that I had had such a bad experience. When my husband and I walked out of his office that day. I had a revelation. I said to my husband “I think he is the doctor who performed my abortion.”  And  it turned out he was!

My feelings were very mixed up at that point. My initial feeling was shock and disgust, especially to realize this man was still practicing and was a doctor who delivers babies. I thought I had forgiven all those involved with my abortion including myself. But when I was faced with seeing the man who helped in the killing of my innocent unborn baby I had to ask God to help me. I prayed for God’s grace to forgive this man. And I actually had the opportunity to witness to him regarding the reality of what abortion is. I could tell he remembered me. He must not have encountered many like me who screamed their way through the whole abortion procedure. And as I mentioned he was somewhat apologetic about “my experience” — still not believing it was typical. I had mentally  blocked out much of the day of the abortion and did not even remember the doctor’s name. But when I saw this man’s face and spoke to him the light went on. I  could not believe it. I told my husband I did not want this man to lay a finger on me, much less deliver my precious babies.

But God had another plan. So the day came. The babies were on their way into this world. And who was on duty that day? Yes, it was the abortion doctor. He was the one who delivered my precious twins. How can the same man both take life and deliver life? I do not know. But I do know that we as Christians- Christ followers- are commanded to forgive. The Bible says that if we want to be forgiven that we must forgive. (Mt. 6:14,15) I do forgive the doctor and all the doctors who are murdering babies. Lk. 23:34 — forgive them for they know not what they do. Some do realize, but not the full scope of it. I also know that God commands them to repent and stop this shedding of innocent blood. And I am certainly grateful that the Lord gave me the opportunity to repent and receive his forgiveness.

The Bible declares that God is the one who gives to all “life, and breath, and all things” (Acts 17:25), and only takes it away justly (Ps. 145:17).   Jesus said He came that we “might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly”, but He also revealed that the devil comes “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10).  As you know, abortion is seen as the norm now, and is treated as another form of birth control. This is product of the sexual revolution, which has turned out to be a bloody one. The children in public schools are still being lied to and taught that God-less Evolution is the Truth. So why should they care? Its not a baby its a blob of tissue. But that is a whole topic in and of itself…

Its up to you and me, to those of us who know Christ, to show His love, his truth, his forgiveness to this dark culture of death. The only way abortion will cease is for us to forgive, show the love of Christ, and confront these lies with Gods’ truth. The war for life is above all, a spiritual battle, and the most essential truth is first that the Father sent His Son into the word to save the world, and that by repentance and faith in him — who  “loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal.  2:20) —  we can live through Him, and turn many to righteousness. (Dan. 12:3).

Finally I would like to end with a brief prayer, if I may, for those abortionists. The Bible says we are to pray for our “enemies” the unborn babies have no voice, except ours.  Dear Jesus, tonight are standing in your presence for for LIFE, life which you create and give. We pray for an end to abortion. We also pray for those doctors who are blinded by the god of this world- those who are taking innocent life. We pray for their eyes to be opened to your truth and that they would have an opportunity to repent and stop their bloody practices, and come to your to be save for all eternity. Also help our leaders to see the truth and change legislation for life.  Please help us to be witnesses for you and your truth winning souls for your kingdom. Thank you for the Grace to Forgive. We ask these things in your holy name, Amen.

Thanks be to God, and thank you all for coming.

Kind email Response from National Memorial for the Unborn

Hi Leslie,
Thank you for your inquiry and for your testimony. We used to have an
affiliate in Boone, NC, but they were never active and have moved in a
different direction. Our active affiliates are listed as links on our
website: We would love to have an active
site in NC and in SC–in fact, in every state. Memorializing is so
very important to healing. I have an abortion testimony myself. My
Jessie’s plate is on our Wall. God brings people every day from all
across the US and Russia, Canada, South Africa to place plates on our
Wall – and at affiliate sites nearer to them.

Perhaps you can generate some interest in having a site in North
Carolina. I could send you an affiliate package. You could talk with
the contacts in our affiliate sites if you have questions about
starting one.

God bless you,

NC Needs a Memorial for the Unborn/ Aborted

As some of you may know there is a National Memorial for the Unborn in Chattanooga Tennessee .   And there are other memorial “gardens” or parks in other states. In fact there is a memorial garden in Boone, NC.  And some of our local churches create “seasonal” memorials, such as the grave-yard(s) to the unborn with the little white crosses. These are all wonderful…But we need something more permanent and something that will show the reality of what has been done-the mass murder of innocent preborn babies. It could be a form of both repentence and healing for many people in our state.

I and others want there to be a Memorial to the Unborn in our state’s capital in Raleigh.  Most recent statistics (2005 data) shows that NC makes up approximately 2.5 percent of the national yearly average of 1.3 million ——–  In 2005 there were 32,335 abortions performed in NC. And abortion is the most commonly performed surgical procedure in the U.S.  Since 1973 when Roe v. Wade nationally legalized abortion on demand, there have been approximately 50 million abortions performed in the U.S. And it continues today to the tune of between 3,500-3,800 abortions performed daily in the U.S.

We are living in the midst of a National Holocaust and we, as North Carolinians, I believe should do something to remember these lost innocent lives.  And perhaps it can serve as a physical reminder of the reality of this tragedy. Perhaps it can even be a warning and prevent more deaths via abortion.

I hope to write to our Governor, Congress-people, and Senators to petition them to create a Memorial to the Unborn in Raleigh. If you feel as I do, please write to me and give perhaps we can work together on this project. Just leave a comment on my blog. And I will get back to you asap.

If we can conceive it we can achieve it!
