7 Tips silence your liberal professors on issues of Life.

Why Should We Value Life?

Why Should We Value Life?

So God created man in his own image of God he created him, male and female he created them.

-Genesis  1:27 (NIV)

From on man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

-Acts 17:26

This is what the LORD says-you Redeemer who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself.

-Isaiah 44:24

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones of powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by him and for him.

-Colossians 1:16

Yet, O LORD you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter, we are all the work of your hand.

-Isaiah 64:8

Who is the Creator of the Preborn?

Did not he who mad me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?

-Job 31:15

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; you works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.   When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, you eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before on of them came to be.

-Psalm 139:13-16

How is God concerned with the Preborn?

Listen to me you islands; hear this you distant nations: Before I was born the LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name.

-Isaiah 49:1

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

-Jeremiah 1:5

Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

-Ephesians 1:3-4

40 Days for Life 2012

40 Days for Life 2012:  February 22- April 1

40 Days for Life is a pro-life campaign that was begun in 2004 by a local group in Bryan-College Station, Texas, led by David Bereit.[1] The campaign is active in the fall and spring of each year, though local campaigns may continue it year-round. The fall 2010 campaign launched in 238 locations around the world, including the United StatesCanadaAustraliaEnglandNorthern Ireland, and Denmark.[2]

A 40 Days for Life campaign consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting combined with vigils in shifts outside of an abortion clinic. With enough volunteers, this protest may be round-the-clock. The 40 days concept comes from a pattern repeated in the Bible, such as in Noah’s ArkMoses’s 40 days on Mount Sinai, andJesus‘s 40 days in the desert.

40 Days for Life campaigns are managed by local volunteers in each of the cities involved in the effort. A small national office coordinates communications and provides training and other resources for the local volunteers.

The organization says these campaigns have prevented 4,082 abortions since 2007.[3]

HISTORY

The initial campaign resulted in a rejuvenation of local pro-life activities in the Bryan-College Station area.[4] Over the next two and a half years, the campaign was replicated in six other cities.

2007 campaign

In early 2007, the leaders of those first campaigns got together and suggested a simultaneous nationwide 40 Days for Life campaign in as many cities as wished to participate.

The first national campaign ran from September 26 – November 4 with activities in more than 80 cities in more than 30 American states.[5]

2008 campaign

A second national campaign ran from February 6 – March 16, with events held in 59 cities during the Christian season of Lent,[6]

A short while after the end of the Spring 2008 Campaign, 40 Days for Life executive director David Bereit was at the White House lawn on April 16 as PresidentGeorge W. Bush welcomed Pope Benedict XVI to the White House at the start of his visit to the United States.[7]

A third nationwide 40 Days for Life campaign was scheduled from September 24 – November 2.

2009 campaign

The Spring 2009 campaign had numerous participating cities, including Brisbane Australia, cities in Canada, Northern Ireland, and the United States.

During the Fall 2009 campaign, Abby Johnson, the director of the Planned Parenthood facility in Bryan, Texas (where 40 days for Life had originated), became a pro-life activist. After holding a probe for an ultrasound guided abortion (Johnson was technically the facility manager and thus did not usually perform or assist in abortions) Johnson claims to have seen “the baby move away from the probe” [1]. Shortly after this experience, Johnson quit working for Planned Parenthood and joined the Coalition for Life, the local group that had been praying outside her former facility.[8]

2010 campaign

The Fall 2010 campaign ran from September 22 to October 31, 2010. It attracted attention when a Tennessee abortion provider was arrested for brandishing ahandgun at three 40 Days for Life participants demonstrating outside a South Carolina abortion clinic.[9]

2011 campaign

The spring 2011 campaign ran from March 9 to April 17, 2011. 40 Days for Life, according to their definition of embryos and fetuses as babies, says that they are aware of “483 babies who have been saved from abortion” as a result of the campaign.[3]

The Unborn – A Timeline

Fetal Development
From conception to birth

Day 1:  fertilization: all human chromosomes are present; unique human life begins.

Day 6:  embryo begins implantation in the uterus.

Day 22:  heart begins to beat with the child’s own blood, often a different type than the mothers’.

Week 3:  By the end of third week the child’s backbone spinal column and nervous system are forming.  The liver, kidneys and intestines begin to take shape.

Week 4:  By the end of week four the child is ten thousand times larger than the fertilized egg.

Week 5:  Eyes, legs, and hands begin to develop.

Week 6:  Brain waves are detectable; mouth and lips are present; fingernails are forming.

Week 7:  Eyelids, and toes form, nose distinct.  The baby is kicking and swimming.

Week 8:  Every organ is in place, bones begin to replace cartilage, and fingerprints begin to form.  By the 8th week the baby can begin to hear.

Weeks 9 and 10:  Teeth begin to form, fingernails develop.  The baby can turn his head, and frown.  The baby can hiccup.

Weeks 10 and 11:  The baby can “breathe” amniotic fluid and urinate.  Week 11 the baby can grasp objects placed in its hand; all organ systems are functioning.  The baby has a skeletal structure, nerves, and circulation.

Week 12:  The baby has all of the parts necessary to experience pain, including nerves, spinal cord, and thalamus.  Vocal cords are complete.  The baby can suck its thumb.

Week 14:  At this age, the heart pumps several quarts of
blood through the body every day.

Week 15:  The baby has an adult’s taste buds.

Month 4:  Bone Marrow is now beginning to form.  The heart is pumping 25 quarts of blood a day.  By the end of month 4 the baby will be 8-10 inches in length and will be one half of its birth weight.

Week 17:  The baby can have dream (REM) sleep.

Week 19:  Babies can routinely be saved at 21 to 22 weeks after fertilization, and sometimes they can be saved even younger.

Week 20:  The earliest stage at which Partial birth abortions are performed.  At 20 weeks the baby recognizes its’ mothers voice.

Months 5 and 6:  The baby practices breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid into its developing lungs. The baby will grasp at the umbilical cord when it feels it.  Most mothers feel an increase in movement, kicking, and hiccups from the baby.  Oil and sweat glands are now functioning.  The baby is now twelve inches long or more, and weighs up to one and a half pounds.

Months 7 through 9:  Eyeteeth are present.  The baby opens and closes his eyes.  The baby is using four of the five senses (vision, hearing, taste, and touch.)  He knows the difference between waking and sleeping, and can relate to the moods of the mother.  The baby’s skin begins to thicken, and a layer of fat is produced and stored beneath the skin.  Antibodies are built up, and the baby’s heart begins to pump 300 gallons of blood per day.  Approximately one week before the birth the baby stops growing, and “drops” usually head down into the pelvic cavity.

NC House Approves “Choose Life” Liscense Plates

The North Carolina state House has just approved legislation to allow motorists in the Tar Heel State to purchase Choose Life license plates to adorn their vehicles and spread a pro-life, pro-adoption message.

The House voted 70-44 to authorize dozens of new specialty plates, including the Choose Life plate, that require an extra $25 fee to purchase — with $15 going to pregnancy centers that provide women with abortion alternatives for each plate sold in the state.

Until now, North Carolina was the only state in the southeast that refused to let its citizens purchase the choose life license plate. For eight years the legislation for the choose life plate had been denied a vote even though more than 130 other plates have been approved.

This is an  awesome step for North Carolina and for the precious lives of the unborn.  I am so thankful. And I hope to go and get my plate this week!

Thank You for this Victory Jesus!

Abortion-Woman’s Right to Know Act / House Bill 854

Below are bullet points from proposed legislation Woman’s Right to Know Act:

GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA
SESSION 2011
H 2

This bill requires a 24-hour waiting period before an abortion could be performed in North Carolina. During that time a woman who is considering an abortion would be provided with the following information to make an informed decision:

  • The name of the physician who will perform the abortion

  • Medical risks associated with the procedure, including psychological risks

  • The probable gestational age of the unborn child

  • The medical risks associated with continuing the pregnancy to term

  • Information about the opportunity to view an ultrasound and hear the heartbeat of her child

  • Whether the abortionist has malpractice liability insurance

  • The location of the hospital that offers obstetrical or gynecological care within 30 miles where the abortionist has clinical privileges, should hospitalization be necessary

Here is the Link to PDF of complete BILL

People of NC and specifically Alamance Co. NC need to contact your local House Reps. to let them know we want this bill made law. It looks favorable at this point. The latest draft in in Appropriations. But there are those in our county who are not favorable to HB 854. I quote Alice Bordsen Rep.  (D-Alamance). She said the bill wasn’t about abortion but was about women and that it implied that they were either “really stupid” or that they “lack a moral compass.” She said rather than discussing abortion, lawmakers should be passing legislation to guarantee that every female of childbearing age is given “free and easy access to contraception and is urged to use it no matter what.”

Does Ms. Bordsen think that all women have the medical knowledge of an eight year educated M.D.? How is even a public high school-educated woman to know and understand the medical intricacies of the abortion procedure and its following repercussion to her life and heath? Not to mention what is going to happen to the yet to be born baby she carries? If I am not mistake, Darwin’s Theory of Evolution it still the de rigueur in our Public Biology courses. This “theory” teaches that the contents of the womb are not really human. The
embryo is said to undergoing an evolutionary process within the womb and is really not fully “human” until birth.  This lie, it what was taught to me in public High School Honors Biology in the late 1980’s. From what I have researched the same is continuing to be taught at truth and fact even in 2011.

A woman does not have to be “dumb” as Bordsen suggests, in fact, she is educated; Or I should say MISEDUCATED!  I have been posting this blog for several years and the most hits I get are from people looking up pictures of what an unborn baby in utero looks like. The girls do not see these images in  public schools. I am so glad we have the internet where images are readily available. The truth can be seen and known, much more easily now.

HB 854 is a great piece of legislation. It will present the facts about abortion and allow a woman to make an INFORMED DECISION, not a blind one, as I did.

By October of this year, the bill should become law. Let us continue to pray God’s Speed to it and to our just law-makers.
