Happy Mother’s Day

I am so blessed this Mother’s Day to have someone call me “Mommy”.  To hear little voices calling my name. To hear them laughing and singing. To see them and dancing and running. Motherhood is a gift and a joy given by our precious and loving God, Jehovah, Jesus.

I am so thankful that God bestowed upon me, a sinner, an imperfect person saved only by His Grace; the opportunity and yes, the responsibility of being a mother.

The only way I can do it is by His daily mercies and grace to me and to my family. I know that I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, daily (Philippians 4:13).

It is sad to remember how I felt before I gave birth to my children and held them and have them in my life and arms.  In the past, I was a bereft woman who disposed of her unplanned child through abortion. I grieved the abortion for many years. How tragic it was. How tragic it still is for so many women who are mothers with empty arms. The only freedom from that pain is the freedom graciously given me when I asked Jesus into my life and heart.;To be my Savior and Lord. He let me know that one day I will hold that baby in Heaven.

So today on Mother’s Day, a day when mothers are honored, and lauded; I would like to let all women everywhere know that I know what its like to have gone through the physical suffering of the abortion procedure as well as the prolonged (decade long) emotional, psychological and physical pain of the “choice” that I made.

Abortion is a lie. Abortion is death. Abortion is violation. Abortion is pain. Abortion is wrong. Abortion is evil. Abortion is murder.

To the women who have had an abortion; there is Hope, Forgiveness, and Restoration. It can only be found in ONE PLACE- THE ARMS OF JESUS.  Ask Him to forgive you for murdering your unborn child. He will. Ask Him to free you from the guilt, remorse, pain, bondage that resulted from your choice. Take responsibility as a mother to repent to God for the ending of the Life of one of His Precious Ones. It may seem impossible but the Freedom He gives is real.

May God bless all the Mothers this Day in Jesus Name.

Pray to End Abortion!

  1. You continue to be not only an excellent mother, but a great testimony to our great God, Jesus Christ, all glory be to him. But what I wanted to say is your writing remains fantastic and encouraging, and I am definitely not just saying that because I’m biased : ) Love You
